Marunouchi Tokio Marine
The new 100-meter-tall headquarters of Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co. in Tokyo is defined by its striking wooden mega-columns, a “forest” of columns that shapes the building’s character and identity. The building’s hybrid structure, designed to withstand severe seismic events, will utilize wood on an unprecedented scale.
KARDORFF consulted on the daylight use for the patio in the centre of the building and the depth of the working areas and developed a lighting concept for the interior and the façade of the building.
